He decided to ruin the wooden people, and had hurricane wipe them all out by created a flood. The wooden people were displeased by Hurricane’s actions. They were angry and decided to take over the forest and from all the destruction they turned into monkeys and they believe they are an experiment of humans. That is why it is believed that humans look like monkeys. With both stories giving a reader an amazing imagination, they both compare as to being a mythical story to tell how the world and humans actually came to be. Many people, depending on religion and faith may say one is more truthful than the other. More than likely, many would agree that the Mayan tale was not a logical story, unlike the first chapter of Genesis. Some may also agree that neither story really depicts how the world actually came to be as well. Marriage is a ceremony or an act completed through contract by which man and woman become husband and wife. It is a loving, caring relationship that provides intimacy and security to all couples. It is entered into because of ensuing political, economic and other advantages and not just of mutual affection. It is viewed legally as civil unions, a legal status and a social institution that simplifies and organizes crucial matters for the partners. Many research studies show that a good marriage is both men’s and women’s bet for living a long and healthy life especially in the area of adult health and well-being.   A leading social scientist name James Q. Wilson explains that persons of the same age who are married have happier life than those who are unmarried. Married people on general are better off and significantly enjoy higher levels of physical and mental health and enjoy greater emotional support and tend to be healthier than those who are either single, divorced or living together. (Wilson 2002) MARRIAGE AND GENDER ISSUES Dr. Robert Coombs of UCLA made a review on recent empirical studies published on how marriage affects adults’ well-being. In his review it shows that there is an intimate link between marital status and personal well-being. On aspect of alcoholism, Coombs review found that there are only fifteen percent of the chronic problems drinkers are married as compared to the fifty five percent who are either divorced or separated. On the other hand, single men are more than three times as likely to die of cirrhosis of the liver. (Coombs 1991) Married people also tend to have long and healthy life. The lowest rates are among the married and average rates among the single and widowed. A Conservatives objection to Haslanger first argument relates that gay and lesbian sex is not good for the individuals involved on it and it is not good for the society. This act was understood that marriage should only be between one man and one woman and become as a family that is considered as foundation of the society.   This one man and one woman marriage are considered â€Å"fit† for establishing the foundation of society and are therefore â€Å"essential citizens†. Further, those who enters into marriage that differ from DOMA policies are therefore â€Å"unfit† and inessential citizens. With regards to gays and lesbians in relation to DOMA, gays and lesbian therefore lack the special status of   â€Å"essential citizens† and same-sex relationships are not merely a â€Å"lifestyle choice†. The article discussed the in-flight conditions and the process of how the ICE Air system works. What ICE Air does exactly is it takes illegal immigrants from many large cities all over the country and brings them into detention centers in one of the 4 hub cities (Mesa, Arizona; Houston, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; and Alexandria, Louisiana). It’s in these detention centers that the detainees will have to stay until a flight to their home country can be organized. Once ICE is able to fill an entire flight, the detainees are taken back to their home countries which for the most part are in Latin America. As more and more airlines are raising fares and cutting costs ICE Air offers its passengers a luxury jet complete with leather seats, ample leg room, and even a free meal. Now I’ll be one of the first to tell you that I support shipping illegal immigrants back to their home countries as fast as possible, but at what cost? ICE’s annual budget is approximately $5 Billion a year, which has been well-spent with arrests of illegal immigrants and border security all having sky-rocketed in past years. This is why the government had to come up with a faster way of deporting all these detainees. So ICE Air was born. My problems with the system however is the U.S. tax-payer footing the bill for illegal aliens to enjoy a nicer flight than I have ever even been on, and what is the cost of a ticket that we are paying? $620 per one way ticket! Many of the employees of ICE, however, are happy to provide this service to these people. â€Å"This is going to be the last memory they have of the United States. We want to provide good service,† said Michael J Pitts, chief of flight operations for deportations and removals at ICE. I’m against illegal aliens being able to come into the country completely unregulated, but I’m also a farm boy from the South who grew up going with my grandpa into town to find â€Å"wet-backs† to work for us for the week. Many of the jobs they do, they do for well below minimum wage which no U.S. citizen would ever consider. This keeps farmers like my grandfather and many others in business and helps to support our economy. I understand that these are decent, hard-working people for the most part; I just think that there MUST be some way that ICE can cut its costs on these flights. Perhaps not renting luxury jets from Miami Air, which boasts of having customers such as President Bill Clinton and George W.
